Whitman Hanson girls soccer team battled Duxbury to a 1-1 draw this afternoon. The Whitman Hanson defense of Alyssa Eaton, Nina Zappi, Haley Bukow and Nicole Galewski held the high powered dragons scoreless until Nicole Gavin broke through with 20 minutes remaining to put Duxbury ahead 1-0. Whitman Hanson continued to pressure the Duxbury net with great scoring opportunities from Devon Morse, Yasemine Civan, Cassie Chernicki and Kelsey Murray. With 15 minutes remaining Mackenzie Hatfield connected on a free kick from 25yds out to tie the score. Whitman Hanson kept Duxbury pinned in their own end for the remainder of the game but were unable to break through. Whitman Hanson is now 7-3-1 overall and 6-1-1 in the league
