whitman hanson girls' soccer

The Whitman Hanson Girls’ Soccer team defeated league rival Duxbury 3-0. Whitman Hanson took an early lead when Lauren Bonavita finished off a Rachel Kelly cross. Bonavita struck again in the first half when she took a Taylor Kofton free kick that was deflected off the crossbar and headed it into the top corner. The score stood 2-0 a the half thanks to some good goaltending by Skylar Kuzmich. Bonavita completed the hat trick when she took a Lindsay Anderson feed and finished it into the low corner. The defense of Kelsey Gilbert, Katie Korzec, Kat O’Kane and Elana Wood held Duxbury to 9 shots and helped goalkeeper Skylar Kuzmich earn her second shutout of the season. Taylor Kofton and Lindsay Anderson had strong games in the midfield for Whitman Hanson.
