Whitan Hanson girls soccer

The Whitman Hanson girls soccer team opened their Patriot league schedule at home with a 3-0 win over Plymouth North. Freshman Kelsee Wozniak got the Panthers on the board when she out raced a Plymouth defender and slotted the ball by the keeper. The score remained 1-0 until the second half when Riley Bina collected a loose ball and fired a shot in to the corner of the net from 18yds out. Freshman Olivia Borgen finished the scoring when she took a cross from Anika Floeck and fired it home. The defense of Samantha Smith, Sam Perkins, Ava Melia and Erin Wood helped keeper Skylar Kuzmich earn the shutout with 7 saves.
