Whitman Hanson girls' soccer

The Whitman Hanson girls’ soccer team scored 3 goals in the second half to top Patriot League rival Plymouth North at home. Plymouth North took a 1-0 lead early in the second half but the Panthers answered with 3 goals in an 8 minute span. Erin Wood got the Panthers on the board when she took a Delaney Hall pass and raced down the field before firing a 20yd blast in to the upper corner of the net. Sam Perkins gave the Panthers the lead when she headed home an Anika Floeck corner kick and Kelsee Wozniak rounded out the scoring when she stole the ball for a Plymouth North defender and slotted the ball by the diving goalkeeper. The defensive work of Ava Melia, Courtney Woodward and Alexis Billings helped goalkeepers Kylee Colclough and Reese Codero earn the win.
