Whitman Hanson Girls' Soccer

The Whitman Hasnon girls’ soccer team improved to 7-0 with a Patriot league victory over league rival Duxbury. Kelsee Wozniak opened the scoring 6 minutes into the match when she dribbled a defender and fired a 20yd blast over the Duxbury keepers outstretched arms. Duxbury pulled even after scoring on a corner kick. The score remained tied until the 2nd half. Olivia Borgen scored the game winner on a penalty shot and Riley Bina rounded out the scoring when she took a Borgen pass and lofted a 20yd shot over the keeper. The defense of Sam Perkins, Ava Melia, Courtney Woodward, Sam Perkins, Erin Wood and Madeline Nagle all had strong defensive games in front of keepers Kylee Colclough and Reese Codero. Anika Floeck(1 assist) and Alexis Billings turned in strong performances.
