Whitman Hanson Girls' Soccer

The Whitman Hanson girls’ soccer team advanced to the semi-finals of the Patriot League Cup with  1-0 overtime win over Plymouth North. Both teams had numerous offensive attacks stymied by solid defending and goalkeeping. It wasn’t until 2 minutes remaining in the first OT that Alexis Billings pounced on an Anna Sullivan rebound and put it home for the game winner. Abby Carew, Ava Melia, Makenna Marshall and Skylar Jordan were outstanding defensively for the Panthers while Lauryn Fostello, Kayla Cassidy and Nora Manning and Olivia Borgen turned in strong performances. Reese Codero and Kylee Colclough combined in goal for the shutout.
