The Whitman Hanson girls soccer team defeated Patriot league opponent Hanover 1-0. Despite a decided shooting advantage in the first half the Panthers found themselves in a 0-0 game at the half. Just 2 minutes into the second half Kayla Cassidy took a Liv Borgen feed and fired the ball into the lower corner of the net. The Panthers continued to pressure but were unable to put anymore on the board. Makenna Marshall, Megan Bizier, Emily Leitch and Skylar Jordan all played well defensively in front of keeper Ava Patete (7saves) who picked up the shutout.
