Re: Whitman Hanson girls soccer

Elizabeth Kowlski's second half goal and an outstanding defensive effort propelled Whitman Hanson to a 1-0 home win over Patriot league opponent Marshfield. After a scoreless first half Kowlsi took a Gabby Amado pass, 2 minutes into the second half, and beat 2 defenders before slipping the ball in the corner of the net. The rest was up to goalkeeper Addison Hughes and the backline of Emily Mahoney, Brooke Bell, Caleigh Mahoney and Shelby Bell.Despite tremendous pressure from Marshfield the defense held strong, recording their third shutout of the season. The midfield of Madeleine Fitzgerald, Aliya Chapman, Anna Schnabel and Keira Manchester turned in strong performances.
