Whitman Hanson Girls Soccer

Whitman Hanson fell 4-2 at home to Patriot League opponent Duxbury. Duxbury opened the scoring 10 minutes in off a corner and Whitman Hanson tied it up 2 minutes later when Anna Schnabel intercepted a pass and fired the ball into the side netting. Duxbury took a 2-1 halftime lead and increased it to 3-1 in the second half before Gabby Amado, off a great feed from Liz Kowlski, outraced the Duxbury defender to the ball and flicked the ball over the Duxbury keeper. Whitman Hanson could not find the back of the net again and fell 4-2. Goalkeeper Addison Hughes was outstanding in the Panthers net making numerous saves. It was a hard fought match.
