Despite some early opportunities neither team could find the back of the net until Anna Schnabel fired home a second half penalty shot for the win. Whitman Hanson fell 4-2 at home to Patriot League opponent Duxbury. Duxbury opened the scoring 10 minutes in off a corner and Whitman Hanson tied it up 2 minutes later when Anna Schnabel intercepted a pass and fired the ball into the side netting. Duxbury took a 2-1 halftime lead and increased it to 3-1 in the second half before Gabby Amado, off a great feed from Liz Kowlski, outraced the Duxbury defender to the ball and flicked the ball over the Duxbury keeper. Whitman Hanson could not find the back of the net again and fell 4-2. Goalkeeper Addison Hughes was outstanding in the Panthers net making numerous saves. It was a hard fought match.

The Whitman Hanson girls soccer team opened the season with a 3-0 win on the road at Plymouth South. Claire Keegan scored 2 first half goals to pace WH and Freshman Teagan Frattasio recorded her first varsity goal in the second half. Shelby Bell, Caleigh Mahoney, Devin Olszeski and Millie Mahoney were solid in front of keeper Addison Hughes(5saves). Anna Schnabel(2 assists), Keira Manchester and Mya Andrews were solid in the midfield.

Whitman Hanson opened the MIAA Division 2 tournament with a 3-0 preliminary round win over Southeastern Regional. Keira Manchester put the Panthers on the board when she redirected a Elizabeth Kowlski corner kick into the back of the net. Kowlski would double the lead with a blast from 25yds out that found the top of the net. The score remained 2-0 until Madeleine Fitzgerald headed home another Kowlski corner. Anna Schnabel was outstanding in the midfield while the back line of Milly Mahoney, Brooke Bell, Shelby Bell and Caleigh Mahoney kept Southeastern from getting many shots off on Keeper Addison Hughes(2 saves).
