The Whitman Hanson girls soccer team improved to 6-0 with a 2-0 shutout of Pembroke. Yasemin Civan opened the scoring in the first half with the assist going to Kelsey Gilbert. Despite WH’s continued pressure the score remained 1-0 a the half. Whitman Hanson’s pressure finally paid off in the second half as Casey Corr took a cross from Devon Howard and slid it underneath the dive of the Pembroke keeper. Kelsey Gilbert, Casey Corr, and Lily Higgins did a tremendous job in the midfield while the defense led by Alyssa Eaton, Haley Bukow, Nicole Galewski and Nina Zappi was strong in front of goalkeeper Lauren Cark (4 saves)  helping her earn her 6th shutout of the season. Lindsay Anderson, Marina Kelly, and Megan Downing all turned in strong performances.
