The Whitman Hanson girls soccer team improved to 9-0 with a 2-0 win over league rival Hingham. Alyssa Eaton got Whitman Hanson on the board in the first half when she took a thru ball from Casey Corr and slotted the ball into the right corner of the net. The score remained 1-0 until half time. 15 minutes in to the second half Lindsay Andersen broke free and fed a slotted ball to Yasmin Civan who one timed the ball into the back of the net. Hingham applied great pressure throughout the second half but were thwarted by the defensive play of Nicole Galewski, Alyssa Eaton, Lily Higgins and Haley Bukow. Goalkeeper Lauren Clark was called on to make 8 saves in the goal to record her 8th shutout in 9 games. Kelsey Gilbert, Nina Zappi and Alexis Fruzzetti all turned in strong performances for the panthers. The win secures Whitman Hanson a spot in the south sectional tournament.
