The Whitman Hanson girls soccer team improved to 10-0-1 with a 2-0 shutout of Silver Lake. Freshman Kelsey Gilbert got the panthers on the board when she took a pass from Yasemin Civan and fired a 25yd blast in to the upper corner. Strong play by the Whitman Hanson defense led by Alyssa Eaton, Haley Bukow and Nicole Galewski kept the Silver Lake offense at bay all afternoon. In the second half Freshman Alexis Fruzzetti took a feed from Devon Howard and placed it into the corner to put Whitman Hanson up 2-0. Both defenses controlled the game from there. Whitman Hanson goalkeeper Lauren Clark made 8 saves in goal to post her 9th shutout of the season.
