Whitman Hanson advances to the Division 2 State Finals with a 2-1 win over Westborough. The Panthers controlled the first half and took a 2-0 lead into halftime on goals by Kayla Cassidy and Olivia Borgen. The Panther defense did not allow a shot on goal in the first half. Westborough applied more pressure in the second half and in their first shot found the back of the net with 20 minutes remaining. Whitman Hanson keeper Ava Patete took over from there making some phenomenal saves to preserve the win. Emily Leitch, Makenna Marshall, Megan Bizier, Skylar Jordan and Ava Melia were outstanding defensively and Lauryn Fostello controlled the midfield.
