Whitman Hanson defeated Amherst-Pelham 6-0 in their opening game of the MIAA tournament. Makenna Marshall opened the scoring for Whitman Hanson with a blast from 20 yds out and Kennedy Frazier doubled the goal with a put back off a Savannah Kamperides cross. The score remained 2-0 until the half. The Panthers came out flying in the second half with goals from Anna Schnabel, Elizabeth Kowlski, Olivia Godwin and Ella Nagle. The defense of Brooke McAloney, Lexi Cole, Hayley Gillis and Savannah Kamperides were strong all night helping keeper Ayla Dernier earn the shutout. Aliya Chapman was outstanding in the midfield.
