whitman hanson girls soccer

The Whitman Hanson girls soccer team improved to 7-0 with a 4-1 win over league rival Duxbury. Whitman Hanson got on the board first when Taylor Kofton finished off a nice pass from Lauren Bonavita. Duxbury answered 3 minutes later with a blast into the top corner. Bonavita came right back and finished off a nufty pass from striker Alexis Fruzzetti to put the Panthers up 2-1 at the half. Whitman Hanson came out strong in the second half with two goals, one from Taylor Kofton and the other from Taylor Robertson. The defense of Elana Wood, Maddie Shea, Kelsey Gilbert and Kat O’kane played great all evening holding Duxbury to only five shots. Lindsay Anderson, Sammi Smith, and Rachel Kelly all had strong games in the midfield for Whitman Hanson.
